Senior Development Manager IT Outsourcing in Beijing
Job Summary:
As a Manager of eDW ETL development, you will be responsible for ETL delivery from offshore for the EDW vertical teams. ETL Development Manager will be responsible for staffing, grooming / mentoring resources. You will build and lead the offshore ETL Development team of highly talented people. This is a challenging position working in a fast paced environment. You are responsible for contributing to eDW program goals, plans and schedules, driving issue resolution and accepting the responsibility for ensuring successful achievement of eBI program goals.
Essential Functions:
- Build a team of ETL Leads and developers.
- Provide guidance and supervision to the offshore team employees and vendor resources for developing and delivering robust and scalable ETL components.
- Provide guidance and supervision to offshore database & ETL Operations and release management teams
- Provide L3 support for ETL Operations in problem management.
- Work with onshore eDW vertical Team managers to contribute to developing vision and strategy that aligns with corporate goals & onshore-offshore coordination in terms of optimum offshore resource utilization.
- Ensure coordination of activities between offshore and Onsite eDW teams and also with service providers.
- Develop and manage the department headcount, capital and expense budget.
- Establishes key metrics to manage performance of staff.
- Develop, implement, and monitor policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, legal, and regulatory compliance.
- Encourage proper implementation of IT processes and provide oversight of processes.
- Provide appropriate feedback to management on process improvement suggestions.
- Promote and maintain high standards of customer service.
- Perform contract negotiations with consultants, technical personnel, and vendors for services and products.
- Manage employees and vendor resource attritions to minimize negative impact
- Ensure program milestones and objectives are met.
- Keep senior management informed of key issues and changes which may impact expected business results.
- Take responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing.
Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of Enterprise Data Warehouse principles and practices, Data Integration and database technologies, Data Model and Data & ETL Architectures.
- Excellent knowledge of NetApp's business functions, systems and architecture as related to Quote to Cash, Sales Credit and Commisssion , Installed Base, Master Data Management, Revenue recognition, Supply chain management, Finance and HR processes.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills are required.
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills; able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent knowledge of IT project lifecycle, tools, processes, and operations planning.
- Persistent and dependable, especially with attendance and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
- Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment; flexibility to work extended hours and weekends if needed; occasional travel required.

Education & Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience as an individual contributor and a minimum of 5 years in leadership or people management role in Fortune 500 company is required.
- A minimum experience of 3 years in architecting or managing Enterprise Data Warehouse in a high tech industry is a must.
- A minimum 5 years experience supporting business functions in Order Management, Sales operations, Finance & Revenue management, Marketing, Customer Support and Services, Supply chain, HR etc in high tech industry is required.
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Computer Science is required; or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, critical projects is required.
