Online Game Programmer (Action Script and Flash)

As an Online Game Programmer, you'll be working as a core-contributor on a small team of like-minded engineers collaborating to build the future of social gaming. You are a self-starter and understand how small, lean organizations function, and you are committed to keeping the code quality high while maintaining team velocity.

The ideal candidate understands client/server game coding, and is enthusiastic about both asynchronous and synchronous social network game creation for both 2D and 3D Flash clients.

Major Responsibilities:

* Have impact creating top-quality multi-player online games, from concept through implementation.

* Develop challenging, complex software to make the game-play more engaging, using less memory, better frame rates, etc

* Collaborate with design, the client programming team and management.

* Communicate openly and strive to improve.

* Work in a fast-paced yet smart environment.

Requirements

* Experience with client/server game programming

* Skill with ActionScript 2/3 (not just Flash).

* Experience with game architectures, web services, optimization, networking.

* Experience with some server language (Java preferred, Python, Ruby, and PHP accepted);

 Preferred skills

* GIT for version control

* Experience using Flash Builder

* Experience with RobotLegs, Signals

* MMO coding experience and/or 3D experience

* Familiar with Facebook API and other social network APIs

* Basic understanding of relational databases & SQL
