About the Company

A rapidly growing tech start-up company offering a renewable membership via a mobile app or physical coupon book comprised of a bundle of deals.  Members get to buy all the deals, all at once, for a low price, for use whenever they want to use them, unlike daily deal websites that solicit members daily via email to purchase singular coupons.

We are looking for a Director of Engineering to lead our development team as we seek to build a solid infrastructure to capitalize on the growing popularity of mobile e-commerce.  We are culture first, team oriented company and this is a great opportunity for a creative, motivated and talented individual who is looking for a fast-paced and challenging environment whilst looking to grow with a company with a lot of potential.  We offer a competitive salary and options package.

Responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day development operations, with the ability do coding

- Take features and functions from concept to technical spec, and ultimately see projects through implementation

- Help in building and leading an A+ team of engineers

- Help make the engineering team as productive as possible, while maintaining a level of quality

- Collaborate with various teams to help define project scope, priorities, and timelines

 Qualifications:

- Passion for building and delivering a world-class product geared towards elegantly simple solutions

- Experience as a senior Engineer or leading teams in a fast and agile environment

- Ability to communicate design decisions, trade-offs, code walk-throughs, and bugs clearly and concisely

- In depth working knowledge of most of these technologies: Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP5, Symfony  Framework, etc

- Knowledge of iOS and Android app development: Objective-C, Cocoa Touch, JSON

- Develop a highly flexible well-intergrated CRM

- Experience working at a growth-stage startup company a plus

- Experience working at a social media and e-commerce company a plus
